Changes to infinite social networking and data charging on prepaid

What changed?

On 13 February 2013, infinite surfing within Australia on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, FourSquare, YouTube and MySpace was removed from our prepaid phone recharges and prepaid Mobile Internet Add-ons.

You're still able to access those sites but your usage now gets taken from your data allowance. If you've used all that up, surfing then gets taken from your Flexible Credit.

We’ve also changed the way we charge for data to bring all of our prepaid phone recharges into line. From 13 February we started charging in 1KB increments with a minimum session of 1KB on all prepaid phone recharges. The dollar amount we charge per MB of data stayed the same.

What if I need more data?

You may want to purchase a Mobile Internet Add-on from the Flexible Credit of your prepaid recharge. These offer great value and can be added whenever your data needs a boost. If you’re not sure how to purchase one, see our ‘How-to’ guide

Another option is to change to a recharge offer with a higher data inclusion. Visit our prepaid recharge options page to find out what each prepaid offer includes. If you’re not sure how to change offers, visit our ‘How-to’ guide
