Vodafone Expand Support

 

When your Vodafone Expand is operating correctly the status light will turn blue. You’ll hear two beeps at the start of your call to indicate when you’re connected to your Expand, and the light on the Expand will also flash solid blue.

The Vodafone Expand has several different colour status lights, the table below explains what each of these mean and suggested troubleshooting if your Expand is not operating:

On Your Vodafone Expand is working. No calls or data sessions are in progress.
Flashing slowly or intermittantly Your Vodafone Expand is working with calls or data sessions in progress.
Rapidly flashing Your Vodafone Expand is updating itself. Please do not disconnect your Expand from the mains power or the internet until the update is complete.
     
On Your Vodafone Expand is not connected to the network or has not been activated:
  • Allow up to 24 hours for your Expand to be activated
  • Check the Ethernet cable is securely plugged in at both ends
  • Make sure your broadband/DSL connection is active
  • Reset your router and Expand by turning them both off and back on
Flashing slowly There is some radio interference, but not enough to stop your Expand from working. Moving it to another position may improve performance.
Rapidly flashing Strong radio interference is stopping your Vodafone Expand from working:
  • Move your Expand to another position, or
  • Move any electronic devices away from the Expand
     
On Your Vodafone Expand is not connected to your broadband/DSL Router:
  • Check your ethernet cable is securely connected at both ends
  • Try another ethernet cable if you have one available
  • Try using another port on your router
  • Reset your router and Expand by turning them both off and back on
Flashing slowly Your Vodafone Expand has an internal fault or the SIM card is not inserted correctly:
  • Check your SIM card is inserted correctly
  • Reset your router and Expand by turning them both off and back on
     
No light Either there is no power to your Vodafone Expand, or it is faulty:
  • Check the power supply is plugged in correctly and switched on

  • Allow up to 90 seconds for your Vodafone Expand to indicate status after being switched on
