We make it easy for you to stay in-touch with your friends and family while you travel the world with Vodafone international roaming.

What does international roaming cost?

International roaming costs nothing to set-up, but there are fees for the services you use while you're overseas. We offer special rates for postpaid customers, and for prepaid customers.

How international roaming works

Global roaming allows you to take your mobile and your number overseas, by connecting to local networks in the places you visit. That way you stay in touch with everyone back home on your usual phone number.

Step-by-step guide

Step 1

To use global roaming, you need to activate it in your my Vodafone account settings. You can do this here on the Vodafone website, or through Vodafone Central on your handset.

Step 2

Select the roaming rates appropriate to your account type & either postpaid or prepaid.

Step 3

If your phone can access the internet and/or receive email, there are no other settings required before you depart. Check if your destination supports these services, and to select the best pricing option for you.

Step 4

Finally, whether you're a novice or a seasoned traveller, be sure to check out our tips section so you're comfortable with making and receiving calls/TXT, and options for voicemail.
