Setting it up
Use My Vodafone to set up roaming from anywhere:
Click the ‘Change Settings’ button from the International Roaming section on the right hand side of the page
Enter your 4 digit account PIN
Slide the button below ‘Activate Roaming’ to ‘ON’
If applicable, select your roaming rates. If you don't see an option to select rates, we'll automatically put you on Vodafone Traveller
Vodafone Traveller – this is a good option if you’re just after casual pay as you go rates
Red Roaming – if you’re on a Red plan, you’ll see a Red Roaming option. This lets you use your plan in the US, UK, NZ and popular destinations in Europe for a small daily fee
Tick the terms and conditions box if you agree and then click ‘Save Settings’
Check what it costs
Check the roaming rates for the country you're visiting.
If you're on a Red plan and have opted in to Red Roaming, check what countries you can use your plan in. If it's not available where you're headed, you'll automatically be charged Vodafone Traveller rates.
Thinking of using data overseas?
Unless you're using Red Roaming, data is charged at a significantly higher rate while roaming overseas.
Switch it off if you don't want to use it, or look at adding an Overseas Data Add-on to make it more affordable and predictably priced:
Want to use Voicemail?
Make sure you know your Voicemail security code, you may need it overseas. If you can't remember it, change it before you leave.

Will it work when you get there?
There are two things to check:
You're ready to go!
While you’re away use 1512, My Vodafone or the My Vodafone app to keep an eye on your usage and balances, but be aware there can be a delay with updating roaming usage details.
If you're new to roaming, find out what else you can expect when you get there.
