How to set up auto recharge for prepaid

Auto recharge will save you time

Being on prepaid is simple. We have automated a recharge option that will save you time. All that you need to do is tell us what amount you would like to recharge and how often.

How it works

Auto recharge is a service Vodafone offers to prepay customers. It allows you to set up an automatic recharge from your credit card. The recharge can be completed when your account reaches a low balance or you can nominate a day of month.

Step by step guide

Step 1

Register for, or log in to your My Vodafone account.

Step 2

If you haven't already registered a credit card, click on 'Credit card details' to register one.

Step 3

Look at the 'Your prepaid account' section.

Step 4

Select 'Auto recharge'.

Step 5

Select your preferred recharge option.

The options are to recharge on a particular day of month, when your credit reaches a low limit or in periodic intervals (every 30 or 60 days).

Step 6

Choose one of the relevant parameters from the 'select one' drop down menu. E.g. you have options of $5, $10, $15 and $20 for the low credit recharge option.

Step 7

Select the start date of when you wish Auto recharge to start automatically recharging your account.'.

Step 8

Complete all sections including recharge amount, notification options and confirm the last four digits of your credit card.

Step 9

Click on 'Submit'

 

How to cancel Auto recharge

Step 1

Register for, or log in to your My Vodafone account.

Step 2

Look at the 'Your prepaid account' section.

Step 3

Select 'Auto recharge'

Step 4

Click on 'Cancel auto recharge'.

Step 4

Click on 'Cancel auto recharge'.

Step 5

Click on 'Submit'

Important information

  • You can register your Australian MasterCard, Visa Card and American Express. To improve your security, limits apply with credit card recharges. You can register a maximum of five credit cards per 12 months, and make one amendment per 30 days to your details using My Account.
  • The Credit Card Validation number (CCV) is a three or four digit number usually found on the back of your credit card. The CCV number on American Express cards is on the front of the card.
  • A pre-authorisation payment of $1 will be charged to your credit card and then automatically refunded to your credit card within 3-5 working days.
