Shopping through our online store

Have you ordered or are you thinking about ordering a new service through our online store? Find out about the ordering process, delivery and activation.

Placing an order

Here's what you’ll need to do this:
  • Contact details - full name, a primary contact number and your email address
  • Identification - you'll need to provide us with a few forms of ID and have at least one that has proof of age.
  • Payment – If you’re joining us on a plan, you’ll need to provide details of your Australian bank account or Australian issued Visa, MasterCard, American Express credit card so we can set up a direct debit. If you’re buying something on prepaid, you’ll need to pay with an Australian credit card
  • Valid address – any addresses you provide get validated in our database before we can accept your order. If you’re getting something delivered to a business, make sure you include the business name. We require ID and a signature for delivery so can’t deliver to PO boxes, GPO or locked bag addresses
  • Proof of employment, study or pension benefits – if you’re applying for monthly billed plan, we’ll need details of your employment including a phone number for your employer; a student card if you're studying in Australia; or a pension card if you're receiving a government benefit

Confirmation and credit check

  • Once you've submitted your order, you’ll get a confirmation email. This’ll contain your order summary and your order number
  • If you’ve applied for a service that’s billed monthly, we’ll run a credit check before approving your order

Delivery and tracking

  • You can track your order online using our online tracking tool. You’ll need your online order reference number (this begins with 'VF') and the email address you used on the application. Allow 24 hours from the time you place your order before trying to track it
  • You should get your order within 3 to 5 business days, depending on your location and whether your order and credit approval have been confirmed. Longer delivery timeframes may apply for some in demand devices
  • Australia Post do our deliveries and they deliver during business hours (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm)
  • If no one is at the designated address to accept delivery, they’ll drop the parcel at a local Australia Post office. They’ll leave a calling card that includes the post office address and the time you can collect it. If you don’t collect it within 7 days, it’ll be returned to Vodafone
  • If you need to contact Australia Post, call them on 13 76 78

Activation and transferring your number to Vodafone

  • If you ordered a service that’s billed monthly, the Vodafone SIM card you get with your order will already be active so you can pop it into your device and start using the service right away
  • If you’ve got a mobile number with another provider and want to transfer it to your new service, call us on 1300 101 606 (8am to 8pm weekdays, 8am to 5.30pm weekends)

Did you know?

  • You can add a maximum of four connections to one order
  • If you need to discuss your order, call us on 1300 650 410. You’ll need to quote the customer order number from your confirmation email
