The difference between plans and contracts

For the purpose of Vodafone products and services, a plan and a contract are one and the same. These terms are used interchangeably when we refer to one of our products that require a commitment period in order to sign-up. This commitment period can range between 1 and 24 months.

Plans and contracts have many different pricing options based on commitment period, phone and minimum monthly spends. Have at look at some of the great value options available today.


How plans and contracts work

The longer you stay with us, the more benefits you may be entitled to. For instance, if you’re happy to stick with us for 12 or 24 months, when you sign-up you'll be able to get the latest phones at a discounted rate, and in some cases for no extra charge. Choose a plan or contract here - you may be entitled to:


  • A free or discounted phone
  • Loads of free included value to use on your plan and on a great range of services
  • Flexibility to shift to a higher plan, and back to your original plan, each month without charge
  • The ability to put your plan on hold for up to 3 months should you be planning a holiday or just need a break

Important information

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to sign up to a plan
  • You must have primary photo and secondary identification to sign up
  • You must set up a direct debit using a credit card or bank details to sign up
