If you’ve got roaming set up with your home provider and have a compatible phone, you may be able to choose Vodafone as your network in Australia. Check this article for information on how to roam on Vodafone and what you’ll need to dial to make calls and send messages.
Is my phone compatible?
Your phone will need to be compatible with the mobile frequencies that our network uses. Our 2G (GSM) network uses the 900 and 1800MHz frequencies while our 3G network uses 850, 900 and 2100MHz. It’s not essential that your phone is compatible with all these frequencies but it’ll maximise the coverage you receive. You can check what frequencies your phone can use in its user manual. Websites such as
GSM Arena also hold this information.
